Own the design, development, and continuous improvement of all shopfloor-related technologies at Zellerfeld. From tooling and jigs to intralogistics and scanning stations, this role leads the technical execution that enables scalable, high-performance operations. It’s a hands-on, high-ownership position for a deep expert—not a people manager, but a mentor and innovator who ensures engineering quality and functional excellence on the ground.
The mission is to find and implement the right solutions—whether that means developing them in-house, sourcing them off the shelf, or partnering with external vendors to co-develop what’s missing. Pragmatism, speed, and fit-for-purpose execution are more important than reinventing the wheel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain jigs, fixtures, scanner setups, packing systems, and conveyor solutions for 3D printing operations
- Identify, prototype, and implement tools and technologies to streamline workflows and improve throughput, ergonomics, and reliability
- Act as the technical point of reference for all shopfloor solutions across Zellerfeld’s production environment
- Drive standardization, modularity, and continuous improvement across tooling and operational interfaces
- Coach younger engineers in shopfloor design and execution, ensuring hands-on excellence and build quality
- Integrate mechanical, sensor, and control components in cooperation with software and automation teams
- Collaborate with production and operations to understand real-world needs and prioritize impactful solutions
- Document and iterate on technical concepts from first rig to production-ready deployment
