The Receiving and Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing incoming shipments,
verifying materials against purchase orders, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
This role ensures smooth coordination between procurement, warehouse operations, and
production by maintaining full visibility and control of incoming goods.
This position reports to the Senior Purchaser and works closely with procurement,
warehouse, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving
● Receive and check deliveries against purchase orders and packing lists
● Record quantities, verify product accuracy, and report any discrepancies or damages
● Create new items and suppliers in the warehouse management system (WMS)
● Label and route received items to designated storage areas
Inventory Control
● Manage inventory levels through accurate data collection, tracking, and reporting
● Perform routine cycle counts and support scheduled inventory audits
● Identify inventory discrepancies and notify relevant stakeholders
● Maintain organized, safe, and easily accessible storage locations
Warehouse Support
● Assist with stocking shelves, organizing inventory, and general warehouse upkeep
● Collaborate with warehouse, supply chain/logistics, and production teams to ensure
material availability
● Use basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, or scanners.
Documentation & Reporting
● Maintain accurate records of received materials and inventory adjustments
● Prepare simple reports or summaries to support warehouse operations
● Ensure all paperwork and system entries are completed in a timely and accurate
manner

● High school diploma or equivalent required
● 3+ years of experience in receiving, inventory, or warehouse operations (preferred)
● Language skills: German and English at B1-B2 level (mandatory both languages)
● Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is a plus
● Basic computer skills (ERP systems, data entry, Excel/Google Sheets)
● Strong attention to detail, reliability, and structured working style
● Good communication skills and availability to work in shifts if required.
● Hands-on mindset with a strong sense of ownership
● Ability to lift 20–25 kg (40–50 lbs) and work in a warehouse environment
● Forklift and pallet jack experience is a plus (training will be provided)
● Willing to operate in shifts
● Based in Hamburg or surroundings
